A Simple Kind Of Wednesday

Oh Wednesday morning. The middle of the week is sometimes tougher than the beginning, why is that? The best way to make time fly is to keep busy. Mood and inspiration boards not only keeps us occupied but gets us motivated.

With gloomy morning weather here in LA (definitely not complaining) and all of the insane snow storms on the east coast, it's a black and white kind of morning. Time to bust out the dark bean coffee, vanilla almond milk, and deep dark lipstick.

Valentine's Day Curls

Turn the clock back and the heat up, literally. What better way to sizzle on Valentine's Day than to turn into a sexy, glamorous, vintage vixen. Ever wonder how to get sultry red carpet curls like Jessica Alba and Megan Fox? Well, here's what you'll need:

1-inch barrel curling iron, bobby pins, steam-set hot rollers, hair spray, boar bristle brush, fine toothed-comb

Squeeze into your most flattering dress, create a cat-eye and load on the mascara, make your lips pop with a bright red or pink shade, AND finally, get your curl on (check out the step-by-step below).

Now lets get going! You've got a date to impress! Enjoy XO

Step 1
Wash, condition and dry your hair. If your hair is naturally curly, you will also want to straighten it. Set your curling iron to a setting that is as hot as your hair can handle without burning. Make a deep side part and clip the top half of the hair up.
Step 2
Separate a 1-inch section just above your ear. Clasp the end of this section with your curling iron. Roll the iron under and wrap your hair around it until the iron is about an inch from your scalp. Gently unravel your hair after 10 seconds or until your hair is hot. Repeat this process all around your head with each section directly next to one another.
Step 3
Once finished, your hair should resemble Shirley Temple's ringlets. Spray these curls with a firm holding spray. Allow the hair to cool and set for five minutes. Then, take the fine side of your comb and beginning from your roots, comb through the curls. The curl pattern will join together into a soft wave. Apply more hairspray and recurl sections if necessary.

Roll With It
Step 1
Choose rollers based on your hair type. Medium and small steam-set rollers work for most hair types. However, curly hair types might opt for larger rollers to create smoother curls. Once your rollers are chosen, heat them up and make a deep side part in your hair.
Step 2
Separate a small section just above your ear. Beginning at your tips, roll the roller under toward your scalp. Ensure that the ends are smoothly tucked under. In a horizontal pattern, continue this process all around your head. Use smaller rollers for dramatic waves and volume around your face and the nape of your neck.
Step 3
Allow the rollers to fully cool. The longer the rollers stay in, the more defined the curls. Take all the rollers out. Dip your head upside down and brush the curls out. Lightly apply hair spray. Flip your head back up and finish by smoothing the curls with a brush and comb.

How To Wear A Beaded Necklace

1. Layer them for a bold statement.

 2. Pair a multi-colored beaded necklace with complimentary colors that make the necklace pop. If you wear a chunky, bold necklace, keep ears minimal or bare.

3. For necklaces that have two neutral tones, like black and white, go for a monochromatic look by pairing it with like colors.
