Sheer Trend Alert: Fall 2014

We know it's hard to even think about your fall wardrobe with summer just around the corner but you know what they say, it's better to be prepared and we couldn't agree more. Here's a little peek at what you should expect to see.

"The Illusionist"

From daring starlets right off the runway, designers like Donna Karen and Nina Ricci went bold and SHEER for Fall 2014. Subtle and not so subtle floor length gowns hugged the body tight to create the illusion that the barely there fabric had been tastefully glued onto the models figure. Although the style can be limiting to red carpet events and nights you want to be the star of the show, we absolutely love this trend and give it two thumbs up. One way to tweak it is to skip the full body exposure and select either your upper or lower half to go sheer. Now if we could only find somewhere to bare it all to!

2014 Oscar Trend Report: Statement Cuff Earrings

The stars were certainly shining on the red carpet last night for the 2014 Oscars. We spotted a trend we've grown particularly fond of, the cuff earring. Sandra Bullock and Lupita Nyong'o rocked a glamorous cuff style earring with lots of diamonds and glitz because it is the Oscars after all. Perhaps the most glamorous night in film, the beauties were stunning and chic. Great job ladies!

This bright blue hue is beautiful against Lupita's mocha skin tone. We think she looked fabulous! Just what an Oscar winner should have worn. The head band and cuff earring was a nice touch to her simple hair and make-up.

The gorgeous muse, Jamie Chung looked beautiful this past week at the Splash event held in Los Angeles.  She was glowing in her matching printed top and skirt, and soft curls. Bright hues have been popping up everywhere, neons a must for key summer pieces. Our favorite hue?  The almost florescent shade of green worn by celebutantes like Olivia Munn, Leona Lewis, and Nikki Reed. We incorporated the it-color into our Look Book shoot by pairing it with our Beaded Beauty bracelet with a solid black top and bandage skirt.
