Downtown LA Artwalk

Taking Rack and Sack to the downtown LA artwalk was something I've been contemplating this month and decided to book last minute. I ran around two days before buying fixtures, tables, and everything else that comes along with a live showcase. Definitely a change from the usual online process. It was a fun experience and I lucked out with some really cool neighbors. The scarves you see hanging behind R&S's display belongs to my super sweet neighbor for the night who purchased a vintage bracelet from me and kept me warm with a lovely shawl he ended up giving me at the end of the night.

Artwalk Recap

My first visit to the LA Artwalk. I'm really starting to think I need to venture out around the city a little bit more, I tend to stick to what I know. Finally made it to the Artwalk and I'm so glad I went. There are lots of great galleries, restaurants/bars, and shops still left to discover.  Looking forward to the next one!

Recap:

This photo does not do the art piece justice. What looks like black lines are actually painted sticks of mounted wood and the entire background is completely texturized.

I've been looking for a good glove for a while now. This is my first and I was so excited to find it! I got it at SkinGraft, one of the many shops we went in to. I love the string that wraps around the glove, adds a little bit of versatility.

This was one of our last stops, a random but very cool bar we stumpled upon on our way out. We only stayed for a few minutes since they were extremely busy and there was no seating, but I will definitely be back minus the hundreds of people street walking. They had a musician playing the piano singing revamped top 40's, small bonus.

Item Of The Day: Xena

I'm a sucker for statement pieces. They really do jazz up a plain outfit. When you want to dress up a simple look, just add a statement accessory. It's effortless and effective! With that said, I'd like to introduce "Xena" - a stunning vintage necklace with tribal metal plates accented by multi-colored gems. Such a great statement piece.

Yesterday was my first time at the Artwalk downtown! I unfortunately didn't have my camera handy but took a few shots on my phone. Look out for that post soon.
